XP Tip: Video Wallpaper

You may have noticed that Vista Ultimate allows users to place a video background as their wallpaper. On Windows Vista Ultimate, this is possible via Dreamscene, now you can have the same effect in Windows XP with a freeware application called VideoLAN.

Once installed, all you need to do is select the video you would like to place as the wallpaper, right-click on it and select "Wallpaper" from the drop-down list.

VideoLAN also allows you to create a loop of your favourite videos by compiling a playlist. You can achieve this by selecting the Tools -> Preferences -> Playlists and, finally, select "Repeat All".
